A Labyrinth tribute.

EDIT: OMG DINOSAURS! I added some color to this 2+ year old piece in my digital illustration class! I was playing around with the watercolor setting in Painter.

So, this is a nod to Mucha and the style of Art Nouveau, with a touch of the Lady of Law and Justice (although Sarah's eyes aren't blindfolded). To her right and left are symbols of responsibility and temptation (yes, that's a peach she has in her hand). She's wearing the dress/jeans combo she rocks in the beginning of the movie, which I always loved because it so perfectly represents walking the line between child and adult.

I was also inspired by the instrumental track "Sarah" by Trevor Jones on the Labyrinth soundtrack...such a very sweet song. It was my favorite on the tape (yes, tape) when I first bought it at the tender age of eight...and I've just dated myself
